I m 6 months old 02.16.2008

And today 02.16.2008 I turned 6 months old at 5.07 am. So my Atya (Dad’s sister pronounced as Atth-yaa) Priya Atya sent me this wonderful gorgeous Red dress as my bi-yearly birthday present and I could not resist not wearing it. (BTW it is my favorite colour too) And ofcourse I had to pose come on need a picture and all that stuff you know. I was all ready at 5 in the morning for the photos. And some more crap (excuse my english) what I did today---- I had that disgusting rice cereal with carrots & honey (how can a normal human living being have that thing)and now I am trying to enjoy THE CHICAGO weather which has continued to suck.

Bornahan (Berry Shower) 2.10.08

So during this time of the year January thru February during Sankrant festival - which is the last festival in the Hindu Calender, babies/ infants (their 1st Sankrant) have Bornahan -- straight up translation in English is Shower of Berries, Since we r in uncle Sam's land we used cranberries. We are supposed to be in black. We all just need an occasion to sing and dance what else right ??? here I am with Mamma and Dad. And sharing the shower with another infant. Mamma did the right thing of holding that small umbrella- like on my head.

First time Kaajal in my eyes

So Ammi(my grandmother) said i need to apply kaajal (mascara) to my eyes, so that my eyes become big and nice when I grow up, ofcourse mamma will follow her advice --its bible to her. Here I am with kaajal in my eyes. And I continue to look out through the window, weather is getting worse and I look terrible with that thing.

Back to Chicago 01.31.2008

And then that was the end of all my enjoyment. I am back Home, Chicago. Have I mentioned to you how much the Chicago weather sucks. Well it sucks to death, seriously MAN it has been snowing cats and dogs and the traffic was going no where. It took me 2 hrs to get home from the airport. And I have been miserable throughout the flight. I haven't slept for 36 hrs. have been crying the entire flight, throwing up. I am sure Mamma was thinking of giving me up for adoption. And to add to the cream -- I miss my Ajja and Ammi so much, I am not sure how m I going to survive. I aint' getting out of my bed for atleast few days. It is pinky and me thats it.

Massage lady

How can I forget this lady. This is Phula bai. She was the best. She was my masseur. BOY!!! what massage she used to give me. She used to come at 1.00 pm afternnon everyday, give me a great hot oil massage and a hot water bath afterwards. BOY I was totally drugged out after that for several hours. Everytime she came in I used to be delighted. I wish she was here in chicago. Mamma misses her too-- why becoz even she enjoyed her massage.

And here is this son of the holy cow piercing my ears !! I swear if I had a gun his was the first head I would ve blown off. And my ears are fully pierced. grandma/ ajja/ chikki all said i look great !!! yeah right???? my ears are bloody swollen. Mamma said I need a life --- to get over what happened

4th month Birthday 12.16.2007

Man my 4th month Birthday was in style celebrated on Sunday 12.16.2007 . I enjoyed Pound Cake, chicken curry - Bread, Mutton Biryani and a small peg of Johny. Wah Majja NU Life (life is awesome)

Warm welcome 12.15.2007

So finally I reached India, I had a grand welcome from Ajja (Grandfather), Chikki(Aunt) and here I am already playing with them. And do you see these 3 ladies, they are Golden ladies--- (known as Teen Deviyaan) my granma's best friends. Their welcome was so filmy OMG!!!! they had marigold and roses spread all over the stair case, and as we entered there was this famous Hindi song from the movie Guru -- "dam dara dam dara, chashm chashme naam". AWESOME

My 1st Vacation
